Out of Bounds, Vol. 29

Tyrese's crazy fits and Giannis' community engagement.

Hey hey hey! On the court we’re seeing legendary duels, record-smashing performances, and the Spurs’ mascot chasing a rogue bat, but today we’re talking about our favorite off-the-court moments from the past week. Let’s get after it! 😎

We can’t WAIT to watch the series featuring these five stars…

Haliburton’s Haberdashery

Tyrese drops dimes on the court and fashion inspo off the court. Last week, he pulled up looking like someone from Newsies, so that made us want to research his best fits from the past few weeks. The neon lime hoodie (left) is bold, and the elegant fit in the middle has Hali looking like a fine art connoisseur. And on the right, of course, he looks like the secret third Winklevoss brother.

Giannis Gives Back

From discovering smoothies to telling corny dad jokes, Giannis Antetokounmpo is a jolly dude. But like The Grinch at the end of the movie, Giannis’ heart grows three sizes come Christmas time.

On January 26th, it was announced that the Greek Freak won the December NBA Cares Bob Lanier Community Assist Award for his generosity throughout the month. He treated 100 Boys & Girls Club members to a special movie night and a shopping spree, making their holiday season that much brighter. He and his also family brought holiday cheer to 300 foster families by hosting a festive event and ensuring that each child left with a gift.

This degree of personal engagement and thoughtfulness illustrates Antetokounmpo's commitment to giving back, making him a true MVP in the Milwaukee community. Plus, he gifted his brother Thanasis a job for the fifth year in a row! Kidding. 😅

NBA’s version of “Quarterback” coming!

In a strategic expansion into NBA-themed content, Netflix is launching a new docuseries following the blueprint of their successful NFL-based "Quarterback" series. The upcoming project will feature NBA stars LeBron James, Jayson Tatum, Jimmy Butler, Anthony Edwards, and Domantas Sabonis.

We love that Sabonis is getting this kind of respect, because he typically flies under the radar of the casual fan. We can’t wait to hear what it was like growing up as the son of hoops legend Ardyvas Sabonis, playing at Gonzaga, and thriving in Sacramento!

For the series’ production, the Avengers really did assemble. It’ll be a collaborative effort between LeBron James' SpringHill Company, Barack Obama’s Higher Ground Productions, and Peyton Manning’s Omaha Productions, which was involved in the "Quarterback" series and is a partner for Kenny Beecham’s Numbers on the Board… so obviously we’re rooting hard for this to be a hit. 😁
