👔 Draft Night Fashion

Some are calling this draft “weak.” In reality, no one will know if they’re right until 5-10 years down the road. But we found out immediately on Draft Night that this is a strong year for draft fashion 🔥

Ron Holland (left), Stephon Castle (middle), and Rob Dillingham (right)

We first wanted to highlight three prospect who dazzled similarly designed 10/10 suits. Ron Holland from the G-League Ignite wore a black Versace suit with crystal sequins which matches the G-League Ignite alumn’s swagger. Adorning the new Detroit Piston’s chest was a necklace with a large medallion in the shape of an atom ⚛️ which Holland said signified his energy and his inner “nucleus.”

Stephon Castle, the championship guard from UConn, capitalized on his last name and wore a diamond chain in the shape of a castle 🏰. The owner of the coolest accessory in the draft headed to the San Antonio Spurs 4th overall. The Minnesota Timberwolves traded for the 8th pick and spent it on bonafide bucket-getter Rob Dillingham who wore a custom beaded suit ✨ by Seventh Heaven.

Looking elsewhere in the green room, foreign prospects brought an elegant flare to the Barclay’s Center. Alex Sarr, the 2nd overall pick from France, wore a cream double-breasted Versace suit with gems in place of buttons. The Frenchman simply radiates elegance 🇫🇷. Kyshawn George, the Swiss guard picked 24th to the Wizards, arrived in a light beige suit and a pastel blue shirt which has us craving cotton candy🇨🇭. Meanwhile, Yves Missi, the Baylor big man, went 21st to New Orleans in this smooth blue by Alba. The lining of his suit featured a silhouette of a lion, a symbol of Missi’s native Cameroon 🦁

Okay LAST thing—we need to shoutout Providence’s Devin Carter for having in our opinion the best outfit of the night. The newest Sacramento King hails from Miami 🏝️ and says his outfit was inspired by the Florida boy in him. The color patterns screams Miami Vice and we’re sure the omission of the shirt would fly in the sweltering Miami Heat. Plus, the rose sunglasses are *chefs kiss* 👌

💪 NBA x WWE Smackdown?

Obviously the Knicks and Pacers have a rivalry. It stretches back through the physical brawls of the 90s through this May when Indy knocked New York out of the 2nd round of the Playoffs.

But we’ve never seen NBA drama taken to the WWE stage 😳 Tyrese Habilurton was on WWE Smackdown when Jalen Brunson walked down from the stands with a metal chair. Nothing huge came of it, but we love to see the league’s stars drumming up their rivalry for the world off-the-court 💪

Fans were concerned when Brunson seemed to injure his hand when entering the ring, but Jalen reassured everyone that he’s fine 👍

4️⃣ The Newest Iconic Nickname

The Lakers got an absolute steal in Dalton Knecht with the 17th pick in the 2024 NBA Draft. Not only is he one of the most NBA-ready prospects in his class, but he instantly has the coldest nickname of the group: “Knecht Four.”

The Lakers now have a roster full of cool nicknames: Knecht Four, The Brow, AR-15, plus one teammate is even going to call LeBron “Dad.” 😭
