2024-25 Nike City Edition Jerseys Leak

The new Nike City Edition jerseys have leaked, and the reactions are definitely
mixed. There are some fun hits this year: the return of the Dribbling Dino in Toronto, Sacramento embracing its 70’s vibes with a sweet retro throwback, and Memphis going for a new, bold red design that brings a fresh look to their usual color scheme.

But, let’s be real—some of these designs feel like they miss the mark. A lot of the jerseys look too similar to what we’ve already seen in past years, and some just scream “low effort.”

Case in point: the Celtics’ jerseys. Sorry, Boston fans, but this one feels like something you’d see in a local pickup league rather than on an NBA court. Where’s the creativity, Nike? đŸ€”

So what do you think? Should Nike step up their game and bring more originality, or did they nail it with your team’s jersey this year?

Nine-year vet Boban Marjanovic signs with Fenerbache

Boban Marjanovic, the giant with an even bigger personality, is heading back to Europe! After nine years of bringing his unique blend of size, skill, and fun to the NBA, Boban has signed with Turkish powerhouse Fenerbahçe.

Boban was never more than an elite role player in the NBA, but that didn’t stop him from becoming one of the most beloved figures in the league. From his hilarious bromance with Tobias Harris (remember their "Bobi and Tobi" show?) to unforgettable moments like his unexpected acting debut in John Wick 3, Boban’s personality was always larger than life.

Have fun in Europe, Bobi! We hope Turkey is ready for your antics. 😂

Era-Defining Drip

The Sacramento Kings just announced they’re bringing their classic 2000s unis back, and it immediately got us thinking about how some jerseys are simply inseparable from the teams and players that wore them. So just like Chris Webber and Peja Stojakovic rocking purple in California’s capitol, let’s remember some other iconic looks that immediately take us back to a specific moment in NBA history
⌚

Philly’s Black Uniforms, 1997-2000: AI’s Signature Look

The Sixers are one of those franchises whose uniforms have barely switched up over the years. Get red, white, and blue; smash them together; put “Sixers” on the front and you’ll be pretty close to what they usually wear on any given night. Except for one glorious decade-long exception.

With a midnight black base, a beautiful flowing logo, and bright red trim that made it all pop, the Sixers’ uniforms throughout the 2000s were bold, different, and perfect for the star who wore them.

Studies show it’s statistically impossible to picture Allen Iverson wearing anything other than this jersey. From his iconic crossover to stepping over Tyronn Lue in the Finals, this fit was perfect for a guard who defied expectations every step of the way.

Toronto’s Dino Design, 1995-99: Air Canada!

After 25 years, we’re finally getting the return of the iconic dinosaur on the Raptors uniforms. But let’s not forget the all-time great jersey that started it all.

As a brand-new expansion team trying to make a splash in a national market, the Raptors went bold with their first look. They combined the league's most unique logo—a giant red Raptor dribbling a basketball—with a mesmerizing shade of purple that no other team in sports has really been able to recreate.

And what truly cemented this fit’s legacy? Vince Carter, arguably the greatest in-game dunker of all time, as he brought these threads to life with his high-flying rim-rattling jams. Carter is as synonymous with this jersey as Drake is with The 6ix, and it’s no wonder people still rave about them today. 🩖💜

Baby Blue Nuggets, 2004-15: The Rise of ‘Melo

Carmelo Anthony doesn’t get nearly enough love for how he single-handedly put the Nuggets back on the map. When Melo hit the scene in Denver, the franchise was in desperate need of a revival. And from his rookie year onward, Melo took the Nuggets from basement dwellers to playoff regulars in serious style, rocking those classic powder blue jerseys that popped on the TV screen like nothing else.

When you think of Melo in his prime you think of his headband on tight, hitting a smooth jab step before absolutely cooking defenders in that baby blue fit. The man turned the Nuggets into a must-watch team, and those powder blue unis became the unofficial uniform for every kid trying to emulate Melo’s moves on the court. 💙
