🏆 KAT wins Social Justice Award

Karl-Anthony Towns won the NBA Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Social Justice Champion Award on Thursday! Minnesota’s star big man was recognized for his efforts in helping the state of Minnesota restore voting rights to formerly incarcerated felons.

Towns invested his time and resources in supporting the creation of "Forgiving Johnny," a documentary short that examines the impact of digital transformation on the justice system by following Johnny and his public defender as they maneuver through the intricacies of the legal system.

In addition to honoring KAT, the award also includes a $100,000 donation in Towns’ name to the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Twin Cities! This issue clearly means something to KAT:

"Being an American, you feel truly American when you have the ability to vote. So for an American right that I feel was taken away from so many people… it felt only right to fight for everyone else to have that same right.”

🟠 Once a Knick, always a Knick

To see the Knicks so gritty, goofy, and good at basketball has been special. But a surprise benefit of this New York renaissance has been the flurry of former Knicks flooding into The Garden.

New York reserved seats for Knicks greats like Patrick Ewing, Carmelo Anthony, and Bernard King, but beloved role-players like Kyle O’Quinn, Wilson Chandler, and Steve Novak also pull up to Enjoy the game.

During games, former NYC guards John Starks and Stephon Marbury are standing up on the baseline and shouting tips to Knicks players like they’re heavily invested fathers at an AAU tournament.

If the Knicks win another NBA championship, the president is gonna have to call in the National Guard to prevent 7th Avenue, downtown Manhattan, and the entire city of New York from burning down. 😂

👠 Stylish WNBA Debuts

The 2024 WNBA season began this week, and the hoopers brought some fire tunnel fits to match the hype! Cameron Brink, the Los Angeles Sparks’ second overall pick out of Stanford, matched the LA vibe perfectly and turned the tunnel into a runway.

Meanwhile, Kelsey Plum looked ready to hop on a Harley-Davidson and crack a few skulls—instead, she scored 19 points in the Aces’ victory.

Signing Off

That’s a wrap! Much like the many generations of Knicks: once an Enjoyer, always an Enjoyer. Now go Enjoy your Sunday! 😄
