🎮 Your 2K25 Cover Athletes

As we reported on Friday, the NBA 2K25 cover athletes are Jayson Tatum, A’ja Wilson, and Vince Carter! Coming off of an NBA championship and another All-NBA First Team, Tatum graces the cover of the standard edition while 2X WNBA MVP and back-to-back champion Wilson is on the WNBA edition available in the US and Canada. 

But we think the absolute coldest cover is Vinsanity’s. The recently inducted Hall of Famer appropriately dons the cover of the HOF edition, and we love how they turned Carter’s iconic 2000 Dunk Contest slam halfway into a statue. So tuff! 🔥 

🏀 Started From the Bottom

Eric Spoelstra famously started as a lowly employee in the Miami Heat video room before rising all the way to become perhaps the best head coach in the NBA. However, we may have found an even more incredible story.

Kenny Trevino is serving as the San Antonio Spurs’ Summer League head coach, and his first job in the organization wasn’t as an assistant coach or even a video coordinator.

He was a ball boy. 

In the 11 years since, Trevino has risen through the ranks as an assistant equipment manager to assistant coach for San Antonio’s G League affiliate to, ultimately, head video coordinator. 

Trevino, 31 years old, said some of his influences are Gregg Popovich but also Will Hardy, who rose from an internship with the Spurs all the way up to an assistant coach in the league before getting hired as the Jazz’s head coach at just 34 years old. 

Hats off to an incredibly locked-in individual. The definition of an Enjoyer of Basketball! 🐐 

Michael Rubin is the founder of Fanatics, a former stakeholder of the Philadelphia 76ers, and thrower of the annual July 4th White Party. The event feels straight out of The Great Gatsby if you replaced 1920s wealthy Manhattanites with Kardashians, rappers, and sports superstars.

Donovan “Spida” Mitchell and original Spiderman Tobey Maguire leaned into the bit and snapped a photo together. Next step is to recreate the pointing Spiderman meme like Jalen and Jaylin Williams! 😂 

We really want to find out who Grant Williams knows at these parties to keep getting the invite… 😭 We love Grant, but it’s just funny to see him in photos with A-list celebrities. Like, what would he and Leo DiCaprio or Kim K have to talk about?
