Plus, catching up on the final week of the preseason.

ICYMI: There’s a new way to ENJOY the NBA on NBC (and Peacock!)
Starting October 20, “The Enjoy Basketball Hour” will air on NBC streaming channels — Peacock and NBC Sports NOW — weekdays from 12–1p ET!
Why it’s a huge deal for us:
It’s the first-ever creator-led partnership in NBC Sports history, giving Enjoy a national platform to shape how fans experience the NBA.
Our guy Kenny will be sitting alongside NBA legends like T-Mac, Melo, and Reggie, bringing the Enjoy perspective straight to the broadcast.
As KB put it best: “Our goal at Enjoy has always been to bring fans closer to the game through conversation, community, and creativity — and this partnership allows us to do that on a bigger stage than ever before.”

Kings sign Russell Westbrook to one-year deal, extend Keegan Murray
One of the final shoes of the offseason just dropped, and it’s a Jordan Why Not Zer0.
Basketball fans on and off the internet let out a sigh of relief when Russell Westbrook signed a one-year deal to join the Sacramento Kings this season. Having played for six franchises over 17 NBA seasons, Westbrook is now teaming up with Zach LaVine, DeMar DeRozan, and Domantas Sabonis to try and bring SacTown back to the playoffs.
The Kings also signed Keegan Murray to a new four-year, $140 million contract extension, planting a flag in him as a core piece of the roster around DeRozan, LaVine, and Sabonis. With good size on the wing and underrated defensive feel, Murray is a key piece that makes the game easier for those around him. Could Sacramento surprise people this year?

AJ Green, Milwaukee agree to 4yr, $45M extension
The Bucks have signed guard AJ Green to a four-year extension, rewarding one of their most steady developmental success stories.
Green has gone from an undrafted two-way to a trusted rotation shooter, carving out a role alongside Giannis Antetokounmpo with his quick release and calm decision-making. He doesn’t need the ball much to make an impact—Green hits open shots, moves the ball, and keeps Milwaukee’s offense spaced.
Is it a headline-grabbing move? Maybe not. Is it one that Bucks fans will be praising the front office for a year from now? We’ll see. Regardless, it’s a well-earned extension for one of the league’s quiet risers.
This AJ Green triple over Wemby was tough. 😮💨

Malcolm Brogdon retires after nine seasons
Just a month after signing with the Knicks, Malcolm Brogdon just announced his retirement, closing the book on one of the league’s most quietly consistent careers.
The Knicks had hoped his shooting and composure would help steady their backcourt this season, but after years of wear and injury, Brogdon is leaving the NBA with a Sixth Man of the Year award, a 50-40-90 season, and a reputation of trust. Not everyone gets to leave the league on their own terms, but we’re glad that Brogdon made what seems to be the right call.
Best wishes on the next chapter of your career and life, Malcolm!

🧠 Daily Trivia 🧠
The NBA started with 11 teams competing in the 1946-47 season. When was the first year the league had at least 20 teams participating? |

Preseason Catch-Up
If we weren’t already super excited for the season to start (and we are), this final week of the NBA preseason would have convinced us. Here’s your update as to what you might have missed:
Boston 110, Toronto 109: Derrick White exploded for 33 points, 9 rebounds, and 6 assists, hitting six threes and controlling the game on both ends. Payton Pritchard added 10 points and 10 assists as Boston’s guards dictated pace all night. Toronto got 20 from Brandon Ingram and 17 from RJ Barrett, but the Celtics’ shot-making and tempo proved too much.
Clippers 109, Sacramento 91: The Clippers handled Sacramento thanks to a burst of efficiency from John Collins in the paint—Kawhi and Harden looked comfortable, and Chris Paul quietly kept the offense humming. For the Kings, rookie Nique Clifford stood out again with 19 points on confident shooting and solid defense.
Dallas 121, Lakers 94: After being down 15+ in the third, Dallas flipped this game into a blowout win behind Anthony Davis (18 PTS, 9 REB) and some sharp ball movement and energy off the bench, while Dereck Lively (12 PTS, 11 REB) anchored the middle. The Lakers got 22 from Gabe Vincent and 19 from Rui Hachimura, but struggled to close as Dallas outscored them by nearly 20 in the fourth.
