Happy Friday! With the WNBA semifinals in full swing and the NBA year kicking back up, we couldnāt be happier to be basketball fans. Shall we?

More details on the blockbuster trade between Minnesota and New York.

Five teams we think could EXCEED their preseason win total prediction.
āļø Only Four Remain!
A look at where both WNBA semifinal matchups stand.
KAT to New York, continued
Remember on Monday when we said the KAT trade wasnāt totally finished? The details have all been hammered out, and weāre here to give you the full picture:
Knicks receive: Karl-Anthony Towns and James Nnaji
Timberwolves receive: Julius Randle, Donte DiVincenzo, Keita Bates-Diop, 2025 first-round pick (via Detroit)
Hornets receives: Three second-round picks, DaQuan Jeffries, Charlie Brown, and Duane Washington Jr.
Compared to what we knew on Monday, this trade got a lot bigger. Minnesota added another player to their haul in return for KAT, bringing in certified GOAT Keita Bates-Diop (IYKYK) to add some depth to their front court. And aside from the sign-and-trade salary filler players that New York sent Charlotte, the other new piece is what intrigues us the mostāthe Knicks picking up James Nnaji.
Nnaji was drafted with the first pick in the second round of the 2023 NBA Draft, having spent the previous three seasons with Barcelona. Standing at seven feet tall and 250 lbs, Nnaji could develop into an imposing big man off the bench for Knicks, especially if they confirm recent rumors and decide to move on from Mitchell Robinsonā¦

Weāre High Onā¦
The latest round of individual team win total predictions was released earlier this week, which got everyone on social media talking about how Vegas is both (a) conspiring against their team and (b) secretly supporting all of their rivals. But in true Enjoy fashion, let's look at some of the teams we think will go above and beyond their prediction.
Weāre high on theā¦
Los Angeles Clippers (o/u 38.5 wins)
The Clippers will definitely miss Paul George, after the nine-time All-Star jumped ship to join forces with Joel Embiid in Philadelphia, but it might be a little bit of an exaggeration to say that this team will drop below .500 because of it. Kawhi had his healthiest season since 2016 last year, and with James Harden moving into a primarily playmaking role, the offense might be opened up to allow Kawhi to have a late-career rebirth. Not to mention impactful additions Kris Dunn and Derrick Jones Jr and mainstays Ivica Zubac and Norman Powellāthis team should be good!
Sacramento Kings (o/u 46.5 wins)
The Kings went 46-36 last year, so we think another year-over-year improvement from SacTown is in store with the addition of DeMar DeRozan and continued improvement from guards like Keon Ellis and Malik Monk. Kings rookie Devin Carter is another guy to have your eye onāhe could go under the radar as one of the steals of this past draft.

Orlando Magic (o/u 47.5 wins)
The Magic werenāt super active this offseason, but we think what they did could propel them to a surprisingly impressive season. Rookie Tristan da Silva should give them some good length down low, and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope is the perfect guy to mentor young guards like Anthony Black and Jett Howard while also contributing to wins on the court. Watch out for the Magic to be a sneaky 50-win teamā¦
Charlotte Hornets (o/u 29.5 wins)
Call us crazy, but we think this could be a breakout year from the Hornets. With LaMelo Ball already having made an All-Star Game, this could be the year that fellow youngster Brandon Miller follows in his footsteps.
Will Charlotte make the playoffs? No, most likely not. But look out for them to make a Houston Rockets-type run this seasonāwith expectations putting the Rockets as a team that was going to win 21 to 23 games last year, they finished at 41-41.
The Hornetsā starting lineup this season:
LaMelo Ball
Josh Green
Brandon Miller
Miles Bridges

Milwaukee Bucks (o/u 50.5 wins)
Doesnāt it feel like everyoneās writing off Milwaukee?!? They have a perennial MVP candidate in Giannis Antetokounmpo. They have one of the greatest and most clutch shooters in NBA history in Damian Lillard. And most importantly, they brought in another capable scorer in Gary Trent Jr. Dame and the Freak had one year to gel together, and we think theyāll exceed expectations in the year to come.
Damian Lillard got his mind right this summer by just kicking it with his family. Real tranquil. Real scary for the rest of the NBA. slam.ly/252-d

WNBA Semifinals
The NBA season may just be ramping up, but the WNBA playoffs are in full swing. Letās check in on both best-of-five semifinal matchups to see whoāll be vying for the throne:
Lynx and Sun knotted at 1-1
The Sun got a close 73-70 W in Game 1 of this semifinal series, but the Lynx came back strong with a 77-70 victory in Game 2. Minnesota star Napheesa Collier has been slow to find her rhythm so far against Connecticut, but Alanna Smith and Courtney Williams are keeping Minnesota competitive. All eyes are on Alyssa Thomas, DeWanna Bonner and Marina Mabrey as the Sun host a pivotal Game 3 matchup.

Liberty hold 2-0 lead over reigning champ Aces
New York is on the verge of reaching the WNBA Finals after stunning the defending champs in two back-to-back games. Game 1 was a comfortable Liberty win, but Sabrina Ionescu and Breanna Stewart had to put New York on their backs to bring them to a thrilling 88-84 win in Game 2. MāVP Aāja Wilson and the Aces now face elimination back home in Vegasā¦
Sabrina Ionescu is having a phenomenal playoff run, and her New York Liberty team is now just one win away from reaching the WNBA Finals.
The Oregon alumna is averaging (24.5) points, (4.8) rebounds, (6.0) assists, (1.8) steals, and (3.5) three-pointers per game in the playoffs.ā¦ x.com/i/web/status/1ā¦

Any person who considers themselves a fan of rap music will love Sminoās 2022 album Luv 4 Rent. 90 Proof with J. Cole is the most well-known and one of the best tracks on the project, but the whole album is incredibleāgreat beats, great vocal performances from Smino himself, and more than a couple notable features.
