Jazz swiftly handle Bulls in 80-63 victory without Darryn Peterson
No Darryn Peterson, no problem. 😎
Utah decided to give their star draft pick the night off on Monday night and they still dominated, particularly on the defensive end, forcing 24 turnovers and only allowing 63 total points.
In Peterson’s absence, the Jazz had several guys step up to the plate. Jonas Aidoo led Utah with 17 points, 11 rebounds, and three blocks. Orlando Robinson (14 PTS, 9 REB), Matthew Cleveland (13 PTS, 5 REB), Blake Hinson (12 PTS) and Justin Harmon (11 PTS), all put up double-figures in scoring. That’s 67 of Utah’s 80 points just from those five guys alone… 😳
For Chicago, it was a rough night offensively as a whole, but Bulls fans can find plenty of solace in their top pick Caleb Wilson’s performance (19 PTS, 8 REB, 5 BLK, 2 STL) that included this UNREAL poster slam: 😱
With the win, Utah picks up their first victory so far in Vegas, and will look to add another tonight with Peterson back in the lineup!
Other Summer League shouts:
Elite hoopers seem to run in the Johnson family. Kobe Johnson, brother of Jalen Johnson, went for 30 points, while Henri Veesaar added 20 and nine rebounds of his own as the Hawks defeat the Celtics 102-90. ATL went on a 16-0 run late in the second quarter and simply never looked back!
Seth Lundy (22 PTS) only recorded one block in Monday’s win over the Pacers, but it was a game-saving one. The last-second swat gave Toronto the 94-93 clutch win over Indy! First rounder Allen Graves stuffed the statsheet as well, going for 13 points, five rebounds, and six dimes!
This summer has been hot, but not as hot as the Grizzlies were from behind the three point line in their big 106-85 win over the Warriors on Tuesday! Memphis shot 17 from 32 from downtown, and got a huge outing from Javon Small (26 PTS, 7 AST) in the win!

Olivia Miles and Kayla McBride combine for 70 points in Lynx 104-100 win over Mercury
It’s a great time to be a Minnesota hoops fan.
The first place Lynx put on yet another show on Monday night, and you guessed it….Kayla McBride and rookie Olivia Miles had a LOT to do with it.
McBride went off for a season high 37 points on 11/17 shooting while hauling in six rebounds as Minnesota pulled off a fourth quarter rally to take home their 18th win in just 24 games so far this season.
As special as McBride was in this one, we have to talk about Olivia Miles. The rookie sensation continued her reign of terror on the W in this one, dropping a franchise rookie record 33 points on 10/16 shooting, including several big threes down the stretch of the fourth. She also became the fastest rookie in WNBA history to record 400 career points, 100 career rebounds and 100 career assists, accomplishing this feat in just 22 games! 🔥
Remember, just four months ago she was playing college basketball.
This dynamic duo become the first pair of players in Lynx history to drop 30+ points in the same game. We have a feeling this won’t be the last time this happens…

Wayback Wednesday: Summer League Edition
With Las Vegas summer league now in full swing, let’s take a look back at three of the greatest summer league squads of the 21st century on this week’s edition of Wayback Wednesday!
2003 Cavaliers: In 2026, we're awaiting on 42 year old LeBron’s free agency decision. But in 2003, a 19 year old LeBron was dominating the summer stage prior to his rookie of the year 2003-04 campaign. LBJ wasn’t just a one-man wrecking crew on the floor though. He was joined by future NBA All-Star Carlos Boozer and prominent role player and former lottery pick Darius Miles, forming one of the most dominant frontcourt trios we’ve ever seen in the summer circuit!
2012 Warriors: Before becoming monumental pieces on a championship squad in 2015, the baby Warriors were dominating summer league back in 2012. The stacked roster included Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, Harrison Barnes, Festus Ezeli, and Kent Bazemore, and gave the NBA world a preview of some of the most integral pieces of a future dynasty….they just didn’t know it yet.
2017 Lakers: Featuring one of the most loaded Summer League rosters in NBA history, the 2017 Lakers are arguably the greatest summer squad since the turn of the century. The team was headlined by incoming rookie and number two overall pick Lonzo Ball, and included the likes of Kyle Kuzma, Alex Caruso, and Josh Hart…..who all went on to become NBA champions. The squad also had future All-Star Brandon Ingram and dominate force Ivica Zubac down low. From top to bottom, this SL team was one to remember, and capped off their run with a championship in Vegas. 🏆
