🔥 Our Favorite Signature NBA Celebrations
A few days ago a clip went viral of LeBron hitting a game winner and then spamming every iconic celebration he’s done. And hey, he's earned the right to multiple. We’d button mash our cellys too if we had the career to back it up.
But that had us wanting to take a quick joyride through some of our favorite NBA celebrations from active players 🤔
Dame Time deserves its own paragraph and possibly its own museum wing. One of the clutchest shot makers in NBA history lets you know your time is up as the clock ticks down with that signature wrist tap. Damian Lillard ended the entire Russ/PG era in OKC, and eventually lead to the rebuild which bred this new OKC dynasty ⚡️
Celebrations are about showmanship, and one of our game’s best showmen is Trae Young. Ice Trae will hit a game winning three and shiver to let you know its wraps 🥶 Its in the same vein as our next candidate...
D’Angelo Russell. Man, DLo was the coolest dude his first few years in the league. The “Ice in my veins” celebration became a cultural thing and he did it first as a rookie. So so cold 🧊
Then there’s Russell Westbrook, who technically has multiple celebrations, all under the umbrella of pure intensity. Rocking the baby is the most popular. Hitting the “too little” after finishing through a defender is so tuff. But sometimes he just opts for straight-up primal screaming. Remember when in the Bubble he drilled a three and then yelled at the fan section of wives and babies 😭
Lastly, Steph Curry’s “night night” is just soul-crushing. He whipped it out in the THIRD QUARTER of the 2022 NBA Finals Game 6, and the Warriors went on to win Steph’s 4th ring. And a special shoutout to every Steph no-look three. That’s maybe colder than any celebration on this list 🔥

❤️ Doncic Honors Daughter
Luka Doncic and his finance welcomed their second daughter into the world last week with a heartfelt Instagram post. The MVP candidate missed a few games to travel to Slovenia 🇸🇮 to be their for the birth and has since made his return with these awesome shoes ⬇️
He wrote “GO❤️” on his shoes for the first names of his daughters, Gabriella and Olivia. Hopefully Luka joins a long line of NBA players who go absolutely nuclear once their child is born. The streets are still talking about new father Fred VanVleet and Derrick White 😂

💼 NBA Rookie on LinkedIn?
Most NBA players are using social media to flex their tunnel fits or workouts. Meanwhile, Denver Nuggets rookie forward Spencer Keith Jones is focusing on ... LinkedIn?
That’s right. Spencer originally created his LinkedIn profile while at Stanford (because of course he went to Stanford), and sees it as a way to tap into the alumni network and build relationships beyond basketball.

From there, he began sharing thoughtful posts and articles about college sports and his experiences as an athlete, which quickly gained traction. That visibility led to unexpected opportunities, conversations with executives, and even job offers, despite him not actively searching.
It’s a reminder that while he’s an NBA player, he’s also intentionally building for life after the game 🫡
