Plus, Milwaukee's do-it-all rookie.

If youā€™re in the large part of the US that was obliterated by snow this weekend, forcing you to stay inside and watch basketball for three days, we feel you. Weā€™re not complaining, though!

basically the worst feeling.

And before we get into itā€¦ check out The Hollywood Reporterā€™s piece on Enjoyā€™s newest partnership! 2024 is going to be a huge year for us, and weā€™re so glad to have you along for the ride (even if our new audio guy is a total amateurā€¦ šŸ‘€).

Dameā€™s outrageous shot caps Bucksā€™ 143-142 OT win over Kings

Damian Lillard (29 PTS) did what he does and hit a 35-foot running three to win this game in overtime for Milwaukee (28-12). Sacramento (23-16) was up by four in the final seconds, but a couple late missed free throws left the door open for Milwaukee and Dame (who you never want to leave a door open for). There was approximately a 110% chance that this shot was going in:

Huge third quarter from Ant propels Wolves past Clippers 109-105

Twenty points in the third quarter and 33/9/6 for the game? Just run-of-the-mill superstar activities from Anthony Edwards. Minnesota (28-11) doesnā€™t need to make any more ā€œstatementsā€, but this game was a statement nonetheless. Los Angeles (25-14) had won 17 of its last 20 but couldnā€™t get over the hump against the Wolves, who are now 16-2 at home.

Heat shine on defense, beat Hornets 104-87 on D-Wade night

Bam Adebayo dropped 24/10/7 in this one to help Miami (23-16) beat Charlotte (8-29), but the most memorable part of this game happened at halftime when Pat Riley surprised Dwyane Wade with the news that heā€™ll have his own statue in Miami coming soon. Pretty cool stuff:

Even-keeled Nuggets take down Pacers 117-109

You want to talk about balance? How about 25 points for Jamal Murray, 25 for Nikola Jokic, 25 for Michael Porter Jr and 20 for Aaron Gordon! Denver (28-13) took down Indiana (23-16) on Sunday afternoon. It was also Bruce Brownā€™s first game back in Denver šŸ˜Ŗ

Bookerā€™s big game helps Suns overpower Blazers 127-116

Phoenix (21-18) pulled out a win in this one thanks in part to Devin Booker scoring 34 points, dishing seven assists, and turning the ball over zero times. Portlandā€™s (10-29) fourth-quarter charge led by Rayan Rupert and Kris Murray (not a joke) ran out of steam with a few minutes left. The Suns are slowly starting to string wins togetherā€¦

Weekend Wrap-Up

  • Remember when the Jazz lost games? We donā€™t either. Another Utah win on Saturday (this one against the Lakers) brought the Jazz over .500 for the first time this season.

  • Jordan Hawkins masterclass alert! The New Orleans rookie scored 34 points and made six three-pointers in the Pelsā€™ 118-109 win over Dallas.

  • It quite simply does not matter who is guarding Shai Gilgeous-Alexanderā€¦ heā€™s gonna get his buckets. 37/6/7 for SGA as OKC beat Orlando 112-100.

Unsung Heroes: Andre Jackson Jr.

The Milwaukee Bucks have some serious star power in Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard, so we wonā€™t blame you if youā€™re not familiar with a second-round rookie who doesnā€™t score all that much (2.6 PPG). But Andre Jackson Jr. is playing his way into Milwaukeeā€™s rotation by doing a little bit of everything else.

Smart decisions, impressive defensive plays, and a monster dunk every once in a while have made Jackson into a fan favorite already. The UConn product looks primed to become a big part of the Bucksā€™ future, and we canā€™t wait to see what heā€™s able to do with more playing time when the opportunity comes!
